Gallery of Photographic Impressions

Two of Marty Schimbor's interests are photography and travel.  Her recent volunteer work as co-director of the Merzifon Summer School Project 2004 has resulted in a photographic gallery that captures the essence of Turkey.

Marty currently teaches English and journalism at Miramonte High School in Orinda, California.  Her extensive experience includes teaching Spanish, studying and traveling in Central and South America, and leading tours to the Soviet Union, Spain, and Mexico.  She volunteers for the California Shakespeare Festival and is a supporter of the Globe Theater in London, England.

Marty is a consultant and mentor teacher for newly credentialed teachers.  She has worked on statewide curriculum in foreign language projects and is proficient in English as a Second Language methodologies.  

Although her real love is the classroom and the students she teaches, Marty's dream is to be a travel editor and photographer.
